Working Video of Double Rotary Table Shot Blasting Machine | Shotblasting Show

A double rotary table shot blasting machine is an industrial equipment used for surface preparation and cleaning of various objects, such as metal components, castings, and more.

How Does a Double Rotary Table Shot Blasting Machine Work?

  • Loading: Operators or automated systems load the workpieces onto the rotary tables.

  • Sealing and Safety: The machine typically has safety measures in place to prevent abrasive (shot) from escaping the blasting chamber. This may include doors or curtains that seal the chamber during operation.

  • Start-Up: The operator or automated control system starts the machine, which activates the rotary tables.

  • Abrasive Media Loading: Steel shot or other abrasive media is loaded into the machine's hopper or storage area.

  • Blasting: The abrasive media is fed from the storage area to the blasting wheel or wheels. These wheels are equipped with blades that accelerate the shot to high velocities.

  • Rotary Table Movement: As the blasting wheels throw the shot, the rotary tables rotate, causing the workpieces to move through the blast zone. The high-velocity shot impacts the surface of the workpieces, removing contaminants, rust, scale, and other unwanted materials.

  • Dust Collection: Dust and debris generated during the blasting process are collected by a dust collector system, helping to maintain a clean working environment.

  • Control and Monitoring: The operation of double table blasting machine is closely monitored, and adjustments may be made to the shot flow rate, table rotation speed, and other parameters to achieve the desired surface finish.

  • Unloading: After the blasting cycle is complete, the rotary tables come to a stop, and the cleaned workpieces are removed from the machine.

  • Inspection: The cleaned workpieces are inspected to ensure that the desired surface quality has been achieved.
